Introduction
Welcome to Nest Creative Spaces!
Nest is Blairgowrie’s creative community hub, committed to improving wellbeing and reducing loneliness through crafts, all while keeping perfectly good, reusable material out of landfill.
As a not for profit Social Enterprise, all profit goes towards funding our craft activities. We sell donated materials in our Reuse Remnants shop, are Frenchic chalk paint stockists, and showcase local makers in our Gift Shop, but this is only part of what we do.
Our heart lies in community. Through our Wellbeing Workshops, weekly Crafty Café, groups and various craft events, we hope to build a creative, relaxing hub where folk can drop in to learn new skills, socialise and leave in a better mood than when they walked in the door.
Please do pop in for a cuppie and a blether round our community craft table. Our doors are open to all ages and abilities; we think everyone should experience just how relaxing crafts can be!

You can shop with us in person from 10am to 2pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
Remnants
We welcome donations of any art and craft supplies, whether new or part used to our art & craft remnants shop that has a wealth of supplies for the keenest crafter. Whatever you want to make, come and have a look around for fabric, wool, paper, cardboard, frames, buttons, threads, trimmings and so much more. All at a fraction of the cost of buying from new and supporting a circular economy.
Proceeds from sales go towards the running of Nest and subsidising our workshops and services.
Homemade Gifts
We are passionate about promoting the wealth of creative talent in the local area.
Our gift shop area sells a wide range of items made by our studio residents and local makers. We are currently supporting more than 50 makers by providing space for them to sell their products to the local community and visitors to Blairgowrie.
Frenchic Paint
We are an Official Stockist of Frenchic® Paint, eco-friendly, pet-friendly and certified for use on children’s furniture and toys (EN17:3). Perfect for any upcycling project.
Volunteering Opportunities
Nest could not operate without the many volunteers who provide great service to our customers, manage our stock, organise remnant donations, arrange window displays, create our craft kits and run workshops.
We offer a broad range of volunteering opportunities to learn transferable skills such as assisting with the running of our shop areas, providing great customer service, making up craft kits, teaching craft skills to others and more.
