Cateran Country is located in Perthshire, the heart of Scotland, and an ideal base for a touring holiday.

The largest town in Perthshire is Blairgowrie, which is also the starting point for travelling up the Snow Road (A93) into the mountains of the Cairngorms National Park or for walking the famous Cateran Trail.

You can explore the many small towns and villages in the area such as AlythCoupar Angus and Meigle, as well as the rolling farmlands of Strathmore and the dramatic mountain scenery of Glenshee and Strathardle from east Perthshire, and the region is easily accessible via road, airport and rail.

We’re about 1.15 hours north from Edinburgh, 30 minutes north from Perth and Dundee, 1 hour south west of Aberdeen, 2.5 hours south of Inverness and 1.5 hours north west from Glasgow – so we really couldn’t be much more central or a better base for touring all over Scotland.

Around 90% of Scotland’s population live within a 90-minute drive of Cateran Country. Put simply, we couldn’t be more conveniently located.

Furthermore, we’re only an hour’s drive from Scotland’s European ferry port at Rosyth.
